About the role

Quality at Palindrome is non-negotiable. Our customers are large regulated wealth managers, any defect that reaches production is a defect that touches real client outcomes. As QA Lead you will own the function end-to-end: the strategy, the automation, the people, and the bar.

This is a builder's role. You will shape the function from where it is today into what it needs to be at the next stage of company growth, with full ownership of how we test, what we ship, and how we measure.

What you'll do

• Define and own the QA strategy across the entire Palindrome platform, agents, integrations, web app, APIs, deployment workflows.
• Build out the automated testing function: unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, agent eval suites.
• Hire, manage and grow the QA team. Set the standards, mentor the people, raise the bar.
• Partner with engineering on every release. Sit close to product to translate customer risk into test coverage.
• Establish the data, metrics and rituals that make quality visible to the whole company.
• Own the relationship with customer change-management leads on UAT and acceptance testing for new deployments.

What we're looking for

• Track record leading a QA function or team at a software company, ideally in B2B SaaS or a regulated industry.
• Strong test automation background. Comfortable writing tests yourself, not just managing those who do.
• Hands-on experience with web app and API testing. Familiarity with at least one major automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar).
• Process-builder mentality, you have shaped QA standards from the ground up before and know what good looks like.
• Strong written communication and an instinct for what "release-ready" really means.
• Experience with agent or LLM-based product testing is a plus, not a requirement, we can teach this.

Stack and tools

Python (Pytest), TypeScript (Jest, Playwright), Postman or similar for APIs, GitHub Actions for CI, Azure for environment management, Sentry for monitoring. Bring your preferences, we are happy to invest in the right tools for the job.
